About the DKA Award

  1. Title of the award. The Principia Alumni Association David K. Andrews Distinguished Alumni Award.
  2. Objective. The objective of the award is to recognize alumni of The Principia who have rendered outstanding service to others in the spirit and example set by David K. Andrews.
  3. Eligibility. Any living alumnus or alumna of the Upper School or the College is eligible to be considered for the award. They may be current or past staff or faculty, who have joined the Alumni Association. They may be from anywhere in the world. There should be no attempt to set quotas or balance by city, state, region, country, sex, race, profession, category, or any other personal qualifier.
  4. Standards for the award. The following are the bases for determining who should receive the award. The individual selected must have performed outstanding service over a long period of time to others. All of the following standards will be applied in the selection process:
    • Active service in the Cause of Christian Science
    • Demonstration of the highest level of business, professional, and personal integrity, and ethics
    • Distinguished service to Principia and participation in Principia programs
    • Distinguished achievement in business or profession
    • Distinguished service to city, state, or nation
