Assistant Houseparent, Home Department - Girls' Dorm

— Part-time, nine-month position, approximately 30 hours per week, beginning August 2008

Provides additional adult accessibility to a hall when the full-time houseparent is not available or would provide opportunities for a full-time houseparent to work one-on-one with a student. Provides office coverage as needed: answering phones, signing students in and out and greeting visitors to the dorm. Reports situations and concerns to houseparent and Residential Head. Supports students as a resource and guide during evening study hall. Qualifications: Active Christian Science church membership. Christian Science primary class instruction preferred. Experience working with teens. Bachelor's degree. Effective communication skills. Knowledge and experience working with the internet and email. Associate Director of Facilities

— Full-time, twelve-month position, beginning ASAP

Responsible for managing the daily operations, maintenance, and service of the St. Louis Facilities Department including HVAC/Plumbing/Electrical, Carpentry/Paint, Landscaping, Custodial, Fleet Vehicle maintenance, Rental Housing maintenance and office staff operations. Develops and manages department operating budget, deferred maintenance plan and assists with the development of the capital improvement plan. Responsible for the management of maintenance projects. Develops and directs service relationships and maintenance programs in coordination with campus departments and programs. Minimum requirements: Active Christian Science church membership. Christian Science class instruction preferred. Live within 5 minutes of campus. Carry pager, willing to be on call in order to coordinate emergency repairs after hours. Must have proven experience in facilities management or related fields including maintenance, construction, architecture or engineering. Must have proven team leadership, supervision and project management skills. Experience with office-related computer systems. Bus Driver (on-call)

Drives school buses of Pre-School through Upper School students to a variety of activities including athletic events, field trips, social activities, and church services. Catering Supervisor

— Full-time, 9 month position for the 2008-09 academic year

Responsible for the planning, preparation & serving of meals for various catered events. Advises & consults with catering customers. Is responsible for the billing of all food service income. Is assigned a normal weekday shift, but is expected to supervise all catered events, even when the event falls on an evening or weekend. Must be available for alternating weekends as a supervisor. Minimum Qualifications: Active Christian Science church membership. Christian Science class instruction preferred. Minimum of 2 years experience in food preparation. Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience. Catering experience preferred. Strong communication skills. Experience in menu preparation. Flexibility with hours and days of week. Field Development Officer

— Full-time, twelve-month position, beginning immediately

Responsible for the planning, developing, managing, executing of Principia's field development activities and programs within an assigned territory. Establish nationwide donor activities. Generate fundraising and develop new initiatives for enhanced donor relations. Professionally understand and communicate a knowledgeable level of development-related work concerning annual, capital, and planned giving; legalities and policies. Responsible for planning, identifying, cultivating, presenting, fundraising, stewarding, and receiving gifts or pledges from donors and assigned named funds for their specific geographic territory or from a personally defined donor list. Qualifications: Membership in The Mother Church and active branch church membership required; Christian Science class instruction preferred. Bachelor's degree required. Manager of Rental Housing & Projects

— Full-time, twelve-month position, beginning ASAP

Responsible for managing the maintenance of all school owned rental housing units including major and minor improvements, tenant changes, and various small projects for the facilities department outside of rental housing. Additional Duties: Rotates as “on call” director for non-work hour emergency response. In the absence of the Director and Associate Director assumes full responsibility for the management of the Facilities Department. Assists the Associate Director in leading emergency response teams for building, utility, snow, and other emergencies. Minimum Qualifications: Active Christian Science church membership. Christian Science Class instruction preferred. Strong knowledge of PC-based computer systems including database, spreadsheet, project management and word processing. Responsible for developing the prospective pool of The Principia for both the short and long-term growth of the institution; responsible for contacting alumni and friends of Principia to generate new prospect names ranging from infancy through college-age into our database; responsible for traveling within the United States to facilitate pool development.
