Anderson Hometown: Humble, Texas Major: Business Administration Cultural presentation topic: Research topic: My goals for this upcoming abroad are to have fun while capturing and embracing the Japanese culture and business aspects, to learn the language enough to speak and hold a descent conversation with the people, and to help my group expand their comfort zone by helping them grow and embrace a culture that has so much to offer. I am very excited to go to Japan because I want to experience another part of the Asian culture. I am also excited about bathing in the public hot springs in Japan. That's going to be fun. Finally I am definitely excited about the home stays. I think this is a chance to really get to know the people of Japan. The learning aspect that I want to achieve is a better sense of the background behind their business ethics and culture. I feel that Japan has so much to offer when it comes to business, and if I can grasp a part of their culture while studying and learning about their business, then I can respectively tell someone that I understand Japanese business. I think that once we open our eyes and embrace Japan and its culture, we as an abroad will understand their business practices.
