Going to JAPAN this fall will be like finding the Golden Ticket to Willy Wonka's chocolate factory, abling me to gobble a variety of sweets while I'm there. While in Japan, I hope to focus on learning, speaking, and experiencing the language. I am fascinated with languages and am thrilled to have the opportunity to learn Japanese. I can't wait to eat TONS of sushi, and other Japanese delights. Each opportunity I have to do something different or new, I'll take it. That's what it's all about for me--doing all I can to engage in the culture of this country. I hope to drill into the core of the cities where we'll stay; to see into the surroundings and listen to the people. Also, I hope to gain a cultured nderstanding of the home life of the Japanese through the home stay time in Kyoto. I'm ecstatic about experiencing this abroad with twenty wonderful people, and am very grateful to be a part of this memorable ten weeks.
