But since we are going to be there after the season I guess the next best thing would be to see the Tsukiji fish market in Tokyo, maybe I can buy a tuna. The best part of the trip, though, will be seeing the temples and shrines, and taking off our shoes before we enter them. It is the cultural differences that I am interested in, like the Japanese view of Pearl Harbor. I am hoping I can get my hands on documents of this event or maybe talk with Japanese WWII veterans. I think the most facinating thing will be people watching in Japan.
