Day 2, 8:00 a.m. Voney: continued orientation to include (1)art supply check (2)journal expectations (3)historic backdrop(4)sketching options
12:45pm Lunch together in Dining Room.
1:45pm Leave campus for afternoon excursion to the Lewis & Clark Museum (special accommodation for our group from 2:30-5:00; bring journals!)
5:30pm Dinner in Dining Room
6:30pm Amy Trevelyan: Native American Art
8:30pm Video on Cahokia Mounds
10:00pm Candles out!
Day 3, 4:30am Leave campus for sunrise sketching at Monks Mound in Cahokia (tentative); (7:30am Lesson Reading; 8:30-9:30am walk-around); Box breakfast
9:30am Depart for SLAM
10:00am Visit St. Louis Art Museum to view “Nature and the Nation,” a special landscape exhibit featuring the Hudson River School painters; followed by a visit to Sheldon Galleries to view Frederick Oakes Sylvester exhibit.
