Biography:

Alyson Wright considers herself a very curious and observant individual. She enjoys committing fun random facts to memory and recalling them sporadically for the amusement of all. Alyson likes to be exposed to new things, explore alternative viewpoints, and discover what is most important to her. Alyson’s appreciation of leadership and communication skills is evidenced by her own attitude. She has played a proactive role in many group activities; her ever positive impact on the group is tangible.

Alyson is grateful for the opportunity to explore Chinese customs and viewpoints for ten weeks—particularly through her research of Chinese attitudes towards hegemony. China’s longstanding history and culture intrigue her and she looks forward to better understanding and identifying universal values and trends shared between the US and China. True to Confucian style, Alyson welcomes the opportunity to learn from her elders.
