-- A continuation of BUAD 251, this
course is presented from a conceptual
basis.
It is not a course in bookkeeping.
-- Emphasizes job order and process
cost accounting, cost-volume-profit
relationships,
budgetary planning, statement analysis, performance evaluation,
incremental
analysis and capital budgeting.
--Thinking skills are reinforced as
connections are made with prerequisite
courses,
especially in the areas of measuring value, cost, and income.
Methods used:
Classes
are devoted to illustration of managerial accounting principles, questions and
answer problem solving, cases, and lectures.
There is daily written homework involving practical accounting problems.
