PE 57: Fitness in Swimming

Prerequisites: None


 

Material and skills covered:

This class is designed for students who already know how to swim and want to learn to improve their fitness through lap swimming. Work outs will be designed according to the ability level and goals of each student.

 

Methods used:

The instructor will introduce and design sets that will help improve stroke technique, strength, and endurance.

 

Grade determined by:

The final grade will be determined as follows:

 

50% - Class Participation

25% - Effort

25% - Fitness Improvement

 

Attendance policy:

Attendance is required at all classes.  More than three absences will result in a failing grade.  Prior notice must be given for field trips.
