the following quarter (spring). Students will work towards the goal of

The student’s progress and mastery of
the material are assessed on the basis of class participation and effort,
completion of assignments, regular written and oral proficiency testing
including a midterm and a final exam or project.
Attendance policy:
Regular attendance is required; unexcused absences affect the grade.
Comments:
This
course, together with 103, allows the student to complete his/her language
requirement. If at all possible, plan to
take 103 in the spring rather than leaving it to the following year (this would
be a long time to wait and the course text may change).
