Principia Resources
Regular grants and loans
Financial aid from Principia is usually a combination of grant and loan. Each grant is a gift and does not have to be repaid. Each low-interest loan (5%) is for up to $4,000 per year and is payable over 10 years, beginning nine months after graduation or withdrawal from college. Merit Scholarships
In addition to need-based assistance, merit scholarships of $4,500 to full tuition are awarded each year to dozens of students who qualify. Government replacement grants/loans
Principia does not participate in any federal grant and loan programs. However if you qualify for a government Pell Grant or Stafford Loan, you could receive an equivalent grant or loan from Principia in addition to Principia's regular grants and loans. Campus employment
Part-time jobs are available to students to help offset expenses other than tuition. Our student employment office is here to help you find and apply for positions in departments and offices of the College. Tuition Reduction Work Plan
This program provides an additional grant for those who qualify, equal to the student's on-campus wages, up to $500 per quarter ($1,500 per year). All financial aid and merit scholarship funds available from Principia have been provided through the generous gifts and bequests of alumni and friends of the school who support Principia's work with young Christian Scientists. |
