Traditional vs. Western Influence Modern Music

How do the people of China (mainly younger individuals 18-26) view traditional music style (mainly operas, classical, ceremonial, or ancient) compared to Western influence modern music style (mainly techno, Rock-n Roll, rap, disco, or hip-hop)?
Abstract
The best explanation and description of this comparative research question is based on the viewpoints of individuals. The viewpoints in which I'm looking for involve positive or negative, influential, and persuasive viewpoints. Music when listened to or perform puts audiences or individuals in certain moods and there views of music is totally different than the other persons. The view that I am looking for are, how does the music make you feel when you listen or perform it? Does one have some kind of persuasive or influential power in it? Has it changed the way you look at life in general? Has music altered your perception or feeling towards your own society or culture? Are your feelings towards these different types of music mutual or non-existent? The views that I am basically looking for to help me in this projects involves feeling, emotion, attitude, and sensation. Everyone's view towards traditional and Western influence modern music will be respectively different, but the more input of views the better.
