A large group of students chose to relax on the lakes of the Chengde's imperial garden. Some chose a paddleboat while others chose the rowboats, and we all enjoyed the good weather and hot sun. On the lake, we were the center of attention being the only Mei Guo Ren (Americans) in the park. We had many Chinese practicing their hellos, how are yous, and goodbyes as they floated past us.
