"Each living creature has the potential to reach enlightenment like the Buddha," our guide informed us. Matt Flavin, Julian, Liz, and Andy attempt to confirm his words. This statue was one of the many in the Longmen Caves in Louyang. Work on the caves began in 494 AD and continued actively for about 200 years. To a lesser degree, carvings were added until 1995.
