This statue of Suhbaatar is in the square in front of the Hural. Suhbaatar was the Mongolian hero of 1921 that led the Communist revolution that united the country after its gradual decline under Chinese domination. This brought in over 60 years of Russian influence seen in many aspects of Mongolian life, including the written language, food, and architecture.
