The food allowance for all boarding students has increased to $450.00 per quarter, which is sufficient for most boarding students' food expenses in the Student Dining Room for one quarter.  Some students spend more than this allotment.

If your allotment is depleted before the end of the quarter: $50.00 is added to your mealcard balance, with a corresponding $50.00 charge applied to your Principia Master Account.  All remaining balances at the end of each quarter will be added to the next quarter's allotment.  Spring quarter remaining balances are then refunded back to the student's master account.

If you lose your mealcard and need to get a new one:  You should come to Dining Services and inform the Supervisor on Duty that you need to get a new mealcard.  All replacement mealcards cost $10.00 and can be paid with cash, check or charged to your account.
