The food allowance for all boarding students has increased to $450.00 per quarter, which is sufficient for most boarding students' food expenses in the Student Dining Room for one quarter.  Some students spend more than this allotment.

If your allotment is depleted before the end of the quarter: $50.00 is added to your mealcard balance, with a corresponding $50.00 charge applied to your Principia Master Account.  All remaining balances at the end of each quarter will be added to the next quarter's allotment.  Spring quarter remaining balances are then refunded back to the student's master account.

If you lose your mealcard and need to get a new one:  You should come to Dining Services and inform the Manager on Duty that you need to get a new mealcard. We will give you a temporary voucher that will allow you to be able to temporarily purchase meals. The voucher will need to be taken to Campus Security so they can make your new mealcard.
