Brian Johnson joined the faculty in 1991. He comes to Principia from Atlanta,
Georgia, where he taught in elementary schools for eight years at both private
and public institutions. Dr. Johnson has also worked with programs for adult
literacy in Atlanta. He is pursuing research in reading instruction including
biographical case study of teaching, the analysis of reading curriculum, reading
comprehension strategies, and teacher development. He has presented papers at
meetings of the professional organizations to which he belongs.
