Dan Kistler joined the faculty in 1995. He has had extensive training and
experience in the field of commercial illustration and graphic design. From
1984-1986 he studied full time at the Center of Creative Studies / College of
Art and Design, in Detroit, Michigan. From 1986-1994 he worked as an illustrator
for Art Staff, Inc., a commercial art studio in Troy, Michigan. From 1994-1995
he worked as Graphics Production Manager for WLHM, a Troy based marketing
advertising agency. Clients have included all of the Big-Three United States
automobile makers, Mercedes Benz of North America, McDonalds, Detroit Edison,
Oxychem, NBD Bank, and ABTco Building Products. He has produced published work
in all types of art mediums including pencil, pen and ink, charcoal,
scratchboard, oil and water based paints, and computer illustration.
