Chrissy McAllister joined the biology faculty in spring of 1999. She came to
Principia from Ft. Irwin, California, where she had been working in geographic
information systems, mapping natural resources throughout the Mojave desert. Ms.
McAllister has also worked as an environmental policy analyst and field
biologist for the Department of Energy at the Hanford Site in eastern
Washington. Her graduate research focused primarily on the relationship between
plant physiological processes and individual species success in grasslands. She
currently has two scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and two
additional manuscripts in review.
