Training Tips

The intent of our strength and conditioning program is to provide an orderly, well-balanced system of workouts to help you the athlete accomplish three goals:

1.       To help you demonstrate the commitment to a goal

2.       To assist you in achieving personal excellence

3.       To enable you to actively experience the value of team effort

This program is totally dedicated to you and for you. The main ingredient, as in the game itself, is you. You make the team what it is; you make the off-season and camp what they could be. These programs, routines, and schedules have been proven successful at all levels of athletics. But without your energy and desire to make you better and to make the team the best it can be; no program could help.

As you know, the key to success in anything is to set a goal and understand how to obtain it. Our goal is to have the “best all around team.” If you attack all our programs with a strong commitment, you’ll not only be strong and disciplined, but your athletic prowess will be geared ideally for Principia Football; i.e., consistent strength, speed, and endurance to last the entire game.

This staff wants you to know that by your dedication, commitment, and work you will certainly grow as a man, a Christian Scientist, and an athlete. But our feelings are best expressed in Psalms 18:32 about what is really the sole cause in your growth as a Principia athlete:

“It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.”

Please remember to share your fruitage and growth with us; it really means a lot to us.
