[Prinmail]


Important Notice for Yahoo! Users

Since the early part of November, Yahoo's servers have been rejecting any mail coming from Principia's mail server. This means that if you have a Prinmail account that is forwarded to a Yahoo! Mail account, your mail has probably been returned to sender with an error message.

As of 11/14/06, Yahoo! is telling us that there continues to be a problem with mail coming from prin.edu or principia.edu and they do not have an estimated time when this problem will be fixed—though their engineers are working on it.

Therefore, Principia recommends that anyone using a Yahoo! address as the destination for a Prinmail account should change the pointer for Prinmail to some other non-Yahoo! address. To replace the real email address to which your Prinmail forwards, login here with your Prinmail username and password. (If you don't know your password, you'll have to email the Alumni Office and request them to reset it for you. The "Forget your password?" link will not work since our server is not able to send messages to Yahoo! accounts.)

We will remove this message when the problem with Yahoo! is fixed. Until then, mail sent to Prinmail accounts that are set to forward to Yahoo! will not be received by Yahoo.
