The Board of Trustees is pleased to announce two new members who were elected at the November Board meeting.

She previously worked as a marketing representative for IBM and a commercial research analyst for Dow Chemical Company. Last fall, she was inducted into the Gold & Blue Athletic Hall of Fame as a member of the undefeated 1983 Women’s Tennis Team, Principia’s only NCAA team championship winners. Julie and her husband Scott (C’83) have two teenage children – Paul and Carlie.

Steve Sydness (C’76) of Wellesley, Massachusetts, received a Master’s in Business Administration from Harvard Business School. He is currently Chief Executive Officer of The Endurance International Group, a provider of shared website hosting and other online services. Steve and his wife Lisa (Hunter, US’72, C’76) have two teenage children – Lindsay and Kenneth.

These newly elected Trustees will take office immediately. Please join us in welcoming them and thanking them for their willingness to serve.

Katharine Bullock, Michael Sharples, and Tuck Spaulding have rotated off the Board following the November Board meeting.

Katharine, who joined the Board in April 2002, has contributed valuable insights and perspectives on financial matters. We are immensely grateful for the thoughtful questions and careful analysis she brought to her work with the Board.

Michael joined the Board in February 1984 and served as Chairman and CEO from 1996 to 2003. Through his clear understanding of Mary Kimball Morgan’s vision and his devotion to Principia’s Purpose and Policies, he regularly reminded us of our true purpose in serving Principia. The Board is deeply grateful to Michael and his wife Dee for their dedicated service.

Tuck joined the Board in February 1982. His insightful guidance and unwavering dedication through the years are deeply appreciated. Tuck was part of the initial group of inductees to the Gold & Blue Athletic Hall of Fame and most recently took a lead role in supporting the College’s new Coach Crafton Athletic Center. The Board is most grateful for the generous and devoted service of Tuck and his wife Susan.

Please join us in thanking these three outgoing Board members for their unselfish, wholehearted commitment to Principia.

The Board is grateful for the community’s input to the Trustee election process through the submission of names for prospective Trustees. We extend an open invitation to continue participating in this way. You may submit suggested names for nomination to the Board through the Trustee website: http://www.prin.edu/trustees/nominate.shtml.
