Science Department

Department Focus

The Science Department recommends that the three required courses be Physics I, Chemistry, and Biology, starting with Physics I in the freshman year. Students transferring to Principia after the freshman year will develop a suitable alternative to this sequence with their counselor and the Science Department Head. For those with a strong interest and aptitude in science and those interested in science or engineering in college, a fourth course in science is recommended. Several science elective courses are available.
