My Dear Mother,

I received your letter this morning, and was rejoiced to hear that you arrived safely at Charles'. Since you left nothing of any special interest has occurred.

I have had our furnace uncovered and I think it is uninjured and this afternoon I have just got a couple of men at work taking it out so that in case the walls fall, it will not be broken. The cartings are worth $95.

Since you left I have received letters from Mary, F.W., Aunt Phebe, and Much F - I have enclosed Mary's letter to Father requesting them to send it to you - and I enclose the others to you. I have just got a letter from Father. They arrived at Lydias about 7 that evening and were met very cordially and are very pleasantly situated - Father will probably be back sometime next week - I send you a couple of papers this day. Mr Joust died Saturday evening; is to be burried tomorrow. I will advertise the cloak and have found one of our dining room chairs at the Stateline house - I will keep a look out - The Insurance Agent and I could not agree about the lop and so I referred the matter to Father for him to do as he saw fit. I will send you papers and write frequently. Let me hear from you often. It is going to be very lonesome for me here.

Give my love to Charley and Marcia. I think it would be a good plan for them and you to go to Chiltenango. Are they going to move?

Your aff Son

George
