Theater

The performing arts department offers theater courses in Basic Acting Theater Arts and Advanced Theater Arts, and a required freshmen speech course. Classes perform theater productions throughout the year, and the Christmas concert.
The theater department head is Merrily Kimbrough.

Dance

The performing arts department offers a dance program under the athletic department. Performances include annual dance productions, as well as learning dances for the annual spring production. The poms squad is another fun activity. Students perform during half-time in all the winter quarter home basketball games.
Sheila Alioto is the head of the dance department.

Band

The Performing Arts Department offers courses in Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Beginning Band, and Music Theory. The Symphonic and Jazz Bands perform several times during the year as well as compete in Music Contests. Students may also compete at the District and State levels as soloists and in small ensembles. The department also offers private lessons and the opportunity for independent music study.
Martha Stitzel is the Upper School Band Director and Mike Griswold is the Assistant Band Director.

Chorus

The performing arts department offers courses in a mixed chorus, selected vocal ensembles, and musical clubs. Students learn musical theory, perform yearly concerts, and participate in the yearly spring production chorus. Freshmen are encouraged to take a music appreciation course. The music department offers private lessons and the opportunity for independent study.
The Upper School Choir Director is Laura Hausladen.

Christmas Concert

The entire community looks forward to the Christmas Concert, which usually takes place on a wintery Sunday afternoon right before Christmas break. It is a joyful time, celebrating the birth of Christ Jesus and putting everyone in the Christmas spirit.
