| Saturn is about one billion miles from Earth. Its apparent size at that distance is about 20 arc-seconds (1 degree = 3600 arc-seconds). This translates into about 20 pixels from pole to pole on the image. This image has been magnified four times so that the digital nature of the image may be clearly seen. |
